Frequently asked questions

Saegyeo AI meeting minutes · as of October 9, 2026

What is Saegyeo?

A meeting minutes app. Upload a meeting recording and AI writes the decisions, action items and carried-over issues, quoting the recording on every line. Code drops any line whose quote is not in the transcript. It is built for people who meet clients and partners often.

How is it different from an ordinary AI summary?

A summary shortens what was said and stops there. Saegyeo quotes the supporting utterance on every line, and code matches each quote against the transcript character by character. Each meeting is summarized three times independently and only items found at least twice are kept. Decisions carry their conditions, kind of evidence and objections, and the next meeting is checked for whether earlier action items were done.

The method is laid out in How to catch what AI meeting minutes make up.

Can made-up content end up in the minutes?

A line whose quote is not in the transcript is dropped by code, so lines resting on things nobody said do not stay. A correct quote can still be read wrongly, though: if “we’ll look into it” is written as “decided to review”, the quote is real but the judgement is wrong. That is why every line has a time you can tap to hear the utterance.

Which AI does it use?

Anthropic Claude Sonnet 5.5 writes the minutes, checks commitments and indexes people and meetings; Claude Haiku 4.5 names meetings. Transcription uses other models. Everything goes through paid APIs whose terms exclude training on what is sent.

Do company meeting recordings leave the server?

Outside transfer of meeting recordings starts turned off, and while it is off, recordings never leave the Saegyeo server. Once you check your company’s rules and turn it on in settings, audio is sent only to be transcribed and the transcript only to write the minutes.

What to check is collected in Before you put company meeting recordings into AI minutes.

Do I need to tell attendees about the recording?

Every time you upload, Saegyeo asks whether attendees were told about the recording and keeps the answer for that meeting. Whether recording and outside transfer are allowed depends on your company and situation, so check first.

What files can I upload, and which languages?

A phone recording or a file from your recorder, as is. Voices are separated as they are transcribed, and a name you give a voice is used in the minutes. Only Korean meetings are supported for now.

Does it score the people I meet with?

No. It counts numbers per meeting only, such as decision rate, carried-over issues and commitment follow-up. There are no per-person scores or overall ‘good meeting’ grades, and scoring the people you meet with is not part of the product.

Does it handle lecture recordings?

Lecture recordings become study notes in slide order, and review starts from questions with hints you open one at a time. Lecture recordings are sent to outside AI as soon as they are uploaded, so do not upload company meetings as lectures.

Can I export or delete minutes?

Minutes can be exported as a file. If an attendee asks, their name tag and records are deleted in one step.

When can I use it?

The founder has used it daily since September 2026 and a private beta is in preparation. Join the waitlist or email hello@saegyeo.com to hear when the beta opens.
